Like many of you, Don & Esther learned to dance because their oldest son was getting married. That first lesson in 1992, led to many of years of lessons before they started competing and teaching. Don & Esther are owners of DanceSteps and have been in business since January 1999 teaching lessons in Latin, country, ballroom and swing dancing. They teach group lessons to Beginning and Intermediate dancers at Full Circle Venue, 1010 Diers Avenue, K-Mart Plaza, Grand Island on Tuesday nights and Private dance lessons at Third City Taekwondo, 210 W 2nd Street, Grand Island on Wednesday nights.  Don & Esther give private lessons to all levels of dancers and have helped many Wedding Couples learn to dance for their "Big Day".  Private lessons allow you to learn specific dances or to learn at your own pace . Don & Esther competed on the United Country Western Dance Council circuit for 6 years & won numerous awards before retiring from competition in 2003.  Among their highest honors, is placing 3rd Overall in the Silver Division at the UCWDC World’s VII competition in San Antonio, TX , in January 1999. They are available to perform with students who are interested in taking their dancing to the "next level".  They have been featured in the GI Independent’s C3 Entertainment Magazine article on Swing dancing in February, 1998, on KHAS TV’s “A Slice of the Good Life” in March of 1999 for their dancing accomplishments, in St Francis Hospital’s 2000 ad campaign which included TV, newspaper and billboard advertising and in the GI Independent for the 2004 Winter Wonderland Dance Showcase; an event they sponsored until 2010 that featured Nebraska instructors and dancers.  In 2007 Don & Esther started their involvement with Dance with the Stars for GRACE as well as other events including Dancing with the NTV Stars Newscast.  Through Dance with the Stars for GRACE (GRand Island Area Cancer Endowment) they have helped to raise funds to support local cancer victims and their families.  Don & his "local celebrities" have won 3 times & in 2012 - Esther got her first win with her local celebrity!
