Ron & Nancy Underwood

Ron & Nancy have lived most of their lives in the Grand Island area. In addition to their 2 daughters and son-in-law, they have 2 wonderful grandchildren and they feel very fortunate to have the grandchildren in Grand Island. Ron & Nancy are avid golfers, love to fish and love the outdoors. They have danced for a number of years and have been a part of the DanceSteps family from the beginning. Ron & Nancy have both “helped with classes” for many years so we were very pleased when they agreed to join our Instructor Training program in April of 2005.

Among their favorite dances are Westcoast Swing, TwoStep, Nightclub 2 and Hustle. Ron & Nancy are looking forward to instructing students in their favorite dances as well as the other dances that DanceSteps offers. While Ron & Nancy have not competed nationally, they have danced in local competitions and earned a 2nd Place trophy in the Fall Fest 2001 TwoStep contest. They are fun to watch and have met many friends through their dancing adventures.

Ron & Nancy were among the dancers who performed for the St Francis 2000 ad campaign with Don & Esther and have appeared in numerous other articles when DanceSteps has been featured. Ron & Nancy performed at the DanceSteps Christmas Party in 2005 where they danced a Nightclub 2 instructor’s routine.

In addition to private lessons and training with Don & Esther, Ron & Nancy have also worked with Kevin Johnson, Vickie Vance, Rex Jones, Toby Munroe, Kristin Geil, Monte Ham and Janelle Mickelson to hone their dance skills and to learn and understand the social skills of leading and following all types of dances.
